Species: GOYAZITE Locality: Palermo Mine, N. Groton, NH Specimen Size: 3 mm field of view with a dozen 0.1 to 0.3 mm milky, frosty, cubic, goyazite crystals. Field Collected: From crate of Palermo rocks given by Bob Whitmore. Catalog No.: Notes: |

Species: GOYAZITE Locality: Palermo Mine, N. Groton, NH Specimen Size: 3 mm field of view. Goyazite with bipyramidal quartz. Field Collected: Walter Lane. A Bob Janules specimen. Catalog No.: Notes: This is goyazite habit type 4. |
Species: GOYAZITE Locality: Keyes Mine, Orange, NH Specimen Size: 6 mm field of view. Goyazite crystals to 0.8 mm on fairfieldite/messelite Field Collected: Ingeborg Burgraff - 1984 Catalog No.: u1209 Notes: Goyazite from the Keyes Mines is rare. This specimen is the only one the author has seen. |
Species: GOYAZITE Locality: Keyes Mine, Orange, NH Specimen Size: 6 mm field of view. Goyazite crystals to 0.8 mm on fairfieldite/messelite, (the steep white rhombs in the background). Field Collected: Ingeborg Burgraff - 1984 Catalog No.: u1209 Notes: Another view from above specimen. The rough surface of many pseudo-cubic goyazite crystals are actually an array of lustrous aligned faces that strongly reflect light at the right incident angle. This affect is present on two of the small crystals on this photograph. |
Species: GOYAZITE Locality: Palermo #1 Mine, N. Groton, NH Specimen Size: 1.7 mm zoned goyazite crystal, (i.e. goyazite crystal with phantom) Field Collected: From crate of Palermo rocks given by Bob Whitmore Catalog No.: u1238 Notes: |
Species: GOYAZITE Locality: Palermo #1 Mine, N. Groton, NH Specimen Size: 1 mm rhombic goyazite crystal with stippled surface on quartz Field Collected: Jim Nizamoff (2012) Catalog No.: u1306 Notes: These goyazite crystals were found in a hydrothermal quartz fracture zone. Goyazite confirmed by EDS analysis. |
Species: GOYAZITE Locality: Palermo #1 Mine, N. Groton, NH Specimen Size: Largest crystal is 0.7 mm Field Collected: John Anderson via MMNE give-away. Catalog No.: u1319 Notes: Large goyazite crystal has many clear apatite crystals on surface, including somewhat out-of-focus group on front corner. Orange patch on top is iron oxide staining. |
